Our location:

Our office is located on the Palm Valley Lutheran Church property. The address is 2498 E. Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock, Texas 78665.

To get there, drive east on Hwy 79 about 2 1/2 miles from I35. After you pass the HEB superstore, you will see the entrance to Palm Valley Lutheran Church on your left so get in the center turn lane and turn left into their driveway. On your right as you come up the driveway, will be a red brick house. Park there and come around to the front door and ring the bell.

If you pass it, you will get to Dell Baseball Diamond in a couple of blocks. Just hook a U-turn and come back toward Round Rock and the driveway for Palm Valley Lutheran Church will be on your right.

If you get lost, call 255-3328.

How You Can Become a Volunteer for us:

We will hold a training session around your schedule. It usually lasts about an hour and includes filling out the application. All potential volunteers will have a background and driver's record check done and must be at least 25 years of age. Please bring your drivers license and proof of liability insurance with you. We want you to feel free to volunteer only when you have the time. We are very flexible and understand you have a life outside of volunteering for us.

The Volunteer training sessions are held at the FIAC-RR office at 2498 E. Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock.

Charitable Auto Recycling -- You can now donate your car, boat plane, etc to Faith in Action Caregivers - Round Rock through Charitable Auto Recycling. For more information, click on the link or call them at 472-6339.
Your donation is tax deductible and the proceeds will provide volunteer support services that allow older adults to continue living independently in the community. Charitable Auto Recycling will supply all the paperwork including DMV/IRS information.

Our Services:

The Faith in Action Caregivers - Round Rock provides the following services to elderly adults:

Transportation
Our volunteers provide transportation for medical appointments, shopping, and personal business.
Errand Running
We will pick up and deliver prescriptions and other emergency items.
Social Contact and Community Involvement
We help lonely and isolated older persons through visits, telephone contacts, and various other social programs.
Office Support
Some volunteers help in the office by answering the phone calls from clients and calling volunteers to get drivers. The time commitment is from 9am until noon and can be one or two day a month, or whenever you have time available.
Special Events
Some volunteers help by working an information table at "special events" such as a church bazaar or senior health fairs.
Handyman Service
We do minor household repairs or minor yard work.
Loan Closet
We lend wheelchairs, walkers, and other medical supplies. Persons of any age are welcome to borrow from the Loan Closet.
