We do light maintenance and yardwork. We help you find referral information. We have a medical equipment loan closet.

FIAC - SW is one of 10 Faith in Action Caregiver volunteer programs in the greater Austin area that serve older adults.  Home-based and community-based services are provided free of charge.  No one is excluded from services for financial reasons.

FIAC-SW provides support care to seniors living within a geographical area circumscribed by ZIP codes 78733, 35, 36, 37, 46, and a small portion of 78738 that falls within the Hwy 71/Bee Caves Rd. triangle.

LIVE AUCTION ITEMS:

L1 2005 Domaine Faiveley Corton French Burgungy
French Burgundy (Pinot Noir), Cote de Beaune. For a wine of such amazing heft, substance and power, it remains remarkably light on its feet, with a delicacy of dried and fresh roses and violets, like lace on a midnight black velvet dress, and intense and concentrated black fruit scents and flavors. The tannins, though, are broad, scrunchy, austere. A monument that requires more aging from 2012 to 2015 or 2018. 200 six-bottle cases were imported to the U.S.
Donated by Homer Williams

L2 1985 Opus One Napa Valley Red Wine
This bordeaux is ready to drink. 90% cabernet sauvignon, 6% merlot and 4% cabernet franc. Wine is rich, supple and very aromatic, showing great balance and length; very impressive staying power from a 25-plus year wine. Rated 95/100 by Wine Spectator.
Donated by Raymond Patschke

L3 Opus One 1992 Red Wine
20 year old Napa Valley Meritage (89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Merlot). Bordeaux comes to California: a joint venture product of Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. This wine is singing right now. Seamless, elegant, sweet fruit, no hard edges and still an intense core with notes of chocolate and dark berries, that marks the serious wine. Rich purple color, opens up nicely, breathes beautifully, full bodied. This wine is in prime drinking territory right now. Rated 92/100 by Wine Spectator.
Donated by Buddy Patten

L4 2007 Schrader Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley, Oakville appelation. This is a collectible wine. Originally purchased for $300 but is currently valued at $699. Both Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate rate it 100 points. #15 on the Top 100 Wine Spectator wines of 2010. Robert Parker says this is "the most opulent, perfumed, and accessible of Schrader wines, it exhibits an opaque purple color as well as an extraordinary density and richness in addition to copious creme de cassis, cedar, ink, and spice box characteristics. There is a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, wood, and alcohol in addition to phenomenal length and ripeness. The multidimensional personality and full-bodied style, with both power and elegance, is compelling. This amazing wine can be drunk now, but it will be even better in 4-5 years, and should unfold gracefully over the following 30-plus years."
